Conventional physics: - "nanoscale hurricane-like texture of a magnetic field in magnetic thin films, behaving as particles—that is, not changing their shape—called skyrmions. Similar doughnut-shaped (or toroidal) patterns in 3D space, visualizing complex spatial distributions of various properties of a wave, are called hopfions.". They call this "structured light". Could they be manufacturing things that are basically very similar to our the same as real, natural particles, which could also be made of structured light? They do call these structures "quasi-particles". See Grand Unified Theory Of Classical Physics and the book The Vortex Atom: A New Paridigm for related ideas.  ???
